Philippe Bovay is a watchmaking engineer trained at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland). He previously taught metallurgy, strength of materials in microtechnology, industrial statistics, the theory of oscillations and vibrations, technical coherent optics, and optoelectronics at the Haute École Arc in Le Locle, where he was also in charge of the watchmaking, signal processing, and applied optics laboratories.
