Brooke Holmes

Brooke Holmes is Susan Dod Brown Professor of Classics and director of the Gauss Seminars in Criticism at Princeton University. She is the author of The Symptom and the Subject: The Emergence of the Physical Body in Ancient Greece and Gender: Antiquity and Its Legacy; co-editor of Liquid Antiquity; and, as part of the Postclassicisms Collective, she contributed to Postclassicisms. Her writing has been published in e-flux, Classical Antiquity, BOMB, Ramus, Public Culture, X-TRA, Political Concepts, October, TLS, Cabinet, Classical Receptions Journal, Daedalus, boundary 2, and Harvard Design Magazine, among other outlets.
