Harold M. Mayer
Harold M. Mayer (1916–1994) was professor of geography at the University of Chicago before moving to the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. In addition to teaching, he was involved in the planning of several public projects, most notably the St. Lawrence Seaway. He was the author or co-author of nine books, including Land Uses in American Cities (Park Press, 1983).
