Josef Matoušek completed his Ph.D. in German and French Philosophy at Charles University in 2023. During his doctoral research, he was a frequent visiting researcher at the Center for Subjectivity Research at the University of Copenhagen, where he worked under the supervision of Dan Zahavi. His publications and translations focus primarily on Husserlian phenomenology, its critical reception and transformation in twentieth-century French thought, and French existentialism.
