Juliet Sperling is assistant professor of art history and Kollar Endowed Chair in American Art in the School of Art +Art History +and Design at the University of Washington. Sperling’s work has been published in American Art, Early American Studies, and in the edited collection Modelwork: The Material Culture of Making and Knowing. This is her first book.
