Spencer Wise is the author of The Emperor of Shoes. His writing can also be found in Narrative Magazine, Gulf Coast, TriQuarterly, Prairie Schooner, The Cincinnati Review, Witness, Tampa Review, and New Ohio Review. He has been awarded residencies and fellowships to the Vermont Writer Studio and Ragdale Foundation in Chicago. Wise is associate professor of creative writing at Augusta University.
