The first of three volumes of legal reports from the turbulent Interregnum period in England.

Charles Cremer recorded mostly King’s Bench cases beginning in 1650 while at Gray’s Inn, a historic London court. His reports are invaluable because few legal records survive from the Interregnum (1649–1660), a period of political instability after the execution of Charles I when the British Isles operated without a monarch. Though the surviving manuscript is incomplete and imperfect, it is a rare addition to the limited legal history of the era.
