This catalog commemorates Danish artist Henrik Olesen’s new solo exhibition exploring predation, consumption, and digestion. 

Henrik Olesen works with sculpture, installation, and painting. He uses text, images, everyday objects, and other materials to address relations of power and social norms. His artworks often contain a variety of references to gay subculture and homosexual history. Copies of real-life objects, tools and food is released on the occasion of the artist’s first institutional solo exhibition in Zurich in almost two decades. In the catalog, existing bodies of work are juxtaposed with a series of new works created specifically for the exhibition, in which Olesen explores his enduring interest in food chains and processes of production, consumption, and digestion through, among other works, casts of common food items.
