A new perspective on the field of nature writing.

By examining the relation of new nature writing to questions such as politics and activism, deep time and hybridity in the Anthropocene, this book offers a distinct and original contribution to the field.  It focuses on the writers’ most recently published texts, several of which date from 2020 or later, and it contributes to the broader debate on the role contemporary literature can play in the Anthropocene. Chapter focuses include literary context and history, the sociohistorical and socioeconomic context, language and border crossings, and hybrid representations and ideas of nature.
